I use headphones mostly to connect to my phone for music and audiobooks when out walking or traveling (plane) and I prefer over the ear rather than buds for comfort. I also like to have a headset that allows me to answer the phone on when I am out walking the dog without having to dig out my actual phone. Though we do have XBox/PC/PS4 gaming systems, these headphones were for me and the above uses, so I can't really review them on the gaming front. But I cannot praise these enough for sound quality for music and audio!!!!!!--For my purposes these headphones are fantastic. By far they have the absolute best sound I have ever had in a set. The 7.1 surround sound likely is great for gaming as it really does provide a 3-dimensional sound (which I have to admit is pretty cool), but it does have a weird echo reverberation with audiobooks in particular and a little with music. So, I use them on the stereo mode, and they are unbelievably good! Even my husband tried them and said the sound was the best and better than his personal gaming headset. I have never had a better sound set and the equalizer setting (not something controllable on these) is super nice; there is lots of bass clearly audible but balanced; voices are crystal clear; the balance is excellent. These are absolute top of the line for sound quality for music and voices.--They are very comfortable to wear with lots of padding on the ear and on the top band, and they are adjustable.--I did test them out with phone calls, and they do work. Though setting up the BT was very easy initially for music/audiobooks, it took a little trial and error to get it to work with the phone calls (it kept disconnecting the BT, but I think that was my error), but in the end we were able to get it to work fine. It works pretty well -- they can hear me and I can hear them. The only slight negative for me is that you must have the removable microphone hooked in for them to hear you -- there is no other voice input. I don't particularly want to have to have that on when using, but the sound is so good I can forgive the need for this (and it wasn't advertised as any different -- so more just my personal preference). The other thing we noted is that there is a bit of a delay when having a conversation -- it is about 5-10 seconds of a delay (only noticed because my husband was in the other room when we tested it out, so I knew when he was speaking and could hear the delay between when he actually spoke and when I heard it in the headset). Because the delay works both ways, the overall conversation sounds normal on each end, and he reported it wasn't an issue for him at all. So, though I wish I could speak into the set without the detachable microphone, these seem to fit my need for ability to answer calls when out walking and the voices are very clear on calls.--All of the control buttons work perfectly -- power on/off, connection type (BT/dongle), sound type, volume up/down, skip track forward/backward, answer calls. You can also control if lights are on or off (RGB). So, a very fully functional headset.I really cannot rave enough about these. I was a bit worried how they would work for my purposes since they are advertised more as a gaming headset, but I am absolutely blown away by the sound quality. I am going to be lucky if my husband doesn't steal these from me, but for the price I can easily get more sets -- the price point is incredible and hard to believe for the quality of sound these headphones have. I 100% would recommend these!
